CLARIFICATION FOR STUDENTS OF ASSAM
Regarding the Government of Assam’s “Brikhya Bandhu” Initiative
BRIKHABANDHU FOUNDATION has recently received a significant number of enquiries and registration attempts from students of Assam regarding the “Brikhya Bandhu” Initiative being implemented by the Government of Assam under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2026” campaign.
We sincerely appreciate and commend the Government of Assam for encouraging students and educational institutions to participate in environmental conservation and large-scale tree plantation.
However, we would like to issue the following clarification solely to prevent confusion among students and the public:
⚠️ IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION
BRIKHABANDHU FOUNDATION and www.brikhabandhu.com are NOT the official registration portal or implementing authority for the Government of Assam’s “Brikhya Bandhu” Initiative.
The confusion appears to have occurred because of the similarity in the names “Brikhya Bandhu” and “BRIKHABANDHU FOUNDATION.”
Therefore, students of Assam who wish to participate in the Government of Assam’s “Brikhya Bandhu” Initiative are kindly requested NOT to register through www.brikhabandhu.com.
Students are requested to:
Follow the instructions issued by their respective college/university or educational institution.
Use the official Government of Assam Brikhya Bandhu portal for registration and related activities.
Follow the official guidelines regarding plantation, geo-tagged verification and certification.

We request students who may have accidentally submitted an enquiry or registration request on our website due to this name-related confusion not to be concerned. This clarification is being issued simply to help students reach the correct government platform.
